Introducing the Caran d’Ache New Luminance 6901 Pencil Range In Collaboration with Oliver Jeffers
Caran d’Ache has launched an exciting new pencil range in exclusive collaboration with the acclaimed Northern Irish illustrator and writer, Oliver Jeffers. This special edition offers artists and art enthusiasts a unique palette, handpicked by Jeffers himself, designed to infuse creations with vibrant and dynamic colours. The pack includes 8 Luminance 6901 pencils, 1 Graphicolour two-tone yellow/ HB graphite, and one Maxi Fluro pink pencil.
The pencils are housed in a stylish metal tin, perfect for artists on the go. This durable and portable container ensures that Jeffers’ selected tools can accompany you on your daily journeys.
This special edition is more than just a set of pencils; it’s an invitation to explore, create, and connect with the vibrant world of art. Whether you’re a seasoned artist or a passionate beginner, this new range promises to inspire and elevate your artistic journey.
In this special edition, Jeffers has selected his favourite Luminance 6901 pencils to create a distinct array of 11 colours. The standouts in this collection are the neon pink Maxi pencil, which brings an electric pop of colour, and the Graphicolor bi-colour pencil, combining two-tone yellow and HB leads. These additions enable artists to experiment with deep tones and warm hues, adding vibrancy and contrast to their designs.
Splitting his time between Belfast and Brooklyn (NY), Jeffers, a multi-talented visual artist, works across various mediums including bookmaking, illustration, and collage. His distinctive style is
characterised by curiosity and humour, making his work appeal to both adults and children alike. As a storyteller, he explores the human experience and understanding of the world, often providing comic relief in the face of life’s futility. Like in his children’s book ‘Meanwhile Back On Earth’ which explores world conflicts throughout time… from the back seats of a family drive through space! Jeffers’ picture books have sold over 14 million copies worldwide, winning multiple awards, including the New York Times Best Illustrated Children’s Book Award.
